Emergency Medical Services and Prehospital Focus
The Vermont Division of Emergency Preparedness, Response and Injury Prevention is actively seeking speakers for its 2019 Healthcare and EMS Preparedness Conference held October 31 - November 3, 2019 at the Hilton Burlington in Burlington, Vermont.
The conference looks to offer attendees excellent presentations relevant to emergency medical services and prehospital medicine; public health; and disaster preparedness. Successful submissions will focus on those topic areas.
Speakers should be dynamic presenters of a professional caliber and have previous speaking or teaching experience. All presentations will be allotted one hour including questions. The conference planning committee will review all submitted proposals and select those that best meet conference objectives. Preferential selection will be given with consideration of the following elements:
It is strongly encouraged that presenters submit at least two session proposals.

All selected speakers will receive an honorarium of $100 per session and a free conference registration.
Speakers selected for at least two sessions (or at the discretion of conference organizers), will receive, in addition, airfare and ground transportation or mileage (with approval by conference organizers); one night’s hotel accommodation; and per diem.

**Required for all conference sessions
All proposals must be submitted by June 30, 2019. Proposals should be submitted online through http://www.vtemsconference.com/speaker-application.html. EMS attendees have requested sessions to be identified as ALS and/or BLS, therefore, please consider carefully whether your topic is for advanced (paramedic/AEMT) practitioners, basic practitioners (EMR/EMT), or both and indicate the appropriate audience on the submission form.
All individuals who submitted proposals will be notified by August 15 regarding the status of their proposal. Please add joanneh@allclearemg.com and info@vtemsconference.com to your safe senders list to ensure you receive communication regarding your speaker submission. Questions related to the Vermont EMS and Healthcare Preparedness Conference or speaker submission can be directed to JoAnne Huie at info@vtemsconference.com.

- Speaker Agreements sent to selected speakers by: August 1, 2019
- Speakers not selected will be notified by: August 15, 2019
- Speaker Agreements signed and returned: September 1, 2019
- Continuing education forms completed and returned: September 1, 2019*
